Dermal fillers are injectable products, which contain hyaluronic acid (HA), a vital substance found in the body and responsible for hydrating the skin cells. Dermal fillers come in a range of viscosities which perform different functions in the beautification and augmentation of the facial features. Thicker ‘heavier’ gels will re-construct, lift and support areas that need a ‘scaffold’ to look more youthful, toned and balanced. Lighter products which are more fluid can be used in areas which need hydration and subtle augmentation, such as the tear troughs and the lips.
At KL Cosmetic Clinics, we use the Teoxane and Allergan range of dermal fillers, for the highest levels of safety and efficacy.

KL Profile Balance offers treatment using dermal fillers to the nose, lips, chin and jawline, in order to re-balance the side profile of the face.
This can include performing non-surgical rhinoplasty to correct and enhance the shape of the nose (one of the key features of the face which is prominent in determining its entire appearance). We can augment the lips to protrude as a more youthful ‘pout’ and to offer more volume and shape as well as enhancing the chin and jawline to lift and sculpt as well as enhance a weak profile in this area. The KL Liquid Lift uses dermal fillers, alongside anti-wrinkle treatment, to create a support network in certain facial points can significantly improve the overall look of the face and assist with the following:
KL Beautification consists of precise injections of dermal fillers into the cheeks, lips and jawline to restore lost volume, improve facial contours and plump the lips for a more youthful and feminine face.
The cheek bones support the skin of the lower face. As we lose bone mass and tissue in this area as we age, it can cause the skin to sag lower down. This can cause jowls as well as change the shape of the face from a heart shape – synonymous with a youthful female visage, to a squarer shape, giving it a masculine, tired appearance. Injecting dermal fillers into the cheeks gives them a volumous appearance and helps to lift and support the skin on the lower face.
The chin and jawline lose definition as we age. Using dermal fillers to re-shape, augment and sculpt this area helps to eliminate the appearance of jowls, turkey neck and a weak chin.
Augmenting the lips can plump, re-shape and volumize them, offering a more feminine appearance.
Depending on your individual requirements, a topical anaesthetic will be applied to the specific areas of the face to be treated. Once you are comfortably numb, your practitioner will use either a cannula or needle to expertly inject the appropriate dermal filler in to the specific areas in need of treatment. After which, they may shape and massage the area with their fingertips to ensure a natural, smooth and pleasing results. The treatment can take between 15 minutes and an hour, depending on how many areas are being treated.
Once your treatment has been completed, your practitioner will offer you some aftercare advice and will recommend that you return to the clinic in 2 weeks for a follow up appointment. This will give the dermal fillers time to settle and soften before adding a top up treatment, should it be required.

As you will be offered a topical numbing cream, you will be fully comfortable before your treatment commences. Most dermal fillers also now contain Lidocaine, an injectable anaesthetic. You may feel some slight pulling and tugging if your practitioner chooses to use a cannula for your treatment, but this should not feel uncomfortable.
