Patients under 40 may not yet need dermal fillers or anti-wrinkle treatments but wish to revitalise their skin and prevent lines and wrinkles from making an appearance too soon.

What is Profhilo®?
Profhilo® is a bio-regenerating substance that stimulates the body’s own hyaluronic acid production to create a tightening action within the skin, helping to counteract skin laxity and remodelling the entire face for an overall skin improvement.
Profhilo® is not a dermal filler. Instead, it helps the skin create more collagen and elastin to significantly improve the appearance of fine lines and wrinkles, increase hydration, and create a firmness to the complexion, assisting with the tone, texture, and luminosity. It is also excellent for the early prevention of lines, wrinkles and volume loss for younger patients. Profhilo® can be injected into the face, the neck, the hands and even the decolletage.
Am I suitable for a Profhilo® treatment?
Before any treatment can take place here at KL Cosmetic Clinics, we will ask that you attend a pre-treatment consultation, so we can assess your skin and discuss your requirements for improvement. We will also check your medical history to ensure that Profhilo® will be a safe and effective option for you.
Why should I have Profhilo®?
Profhilo® is an injectable skincare treatment, which can significantly improve the level of hydration within the skin cells, tone and firm the skin, and smooth away lines and wrinkles. It does not augment the facial features like a dermal filler, instead, it treats the entire face for a youthful glow and firm complexion.
How many treatments of Profhilo® will I need?
Initially, you’ll have two treatments, within one month of each other. Some patients find that they see significant results within four weeks, but we do recommend the initial two treatments and then a 3rd if you are experiencing significant skin ageing. After this, you may be able to have maintenance top-ups every 4-6 months to make your results last.
When will I see results?
Most of our patients report seeing a difference in their complexion four weeks after their initial treatment. However, optimal results can be seen around a month after the second session.
How long do the results from Profhilo® last?
Results can last up to 6 months. However, we recommend maintenance treatments every four months to optimise the product and maintain beautifully youthful-looking, resilient and toned skin.
Is there any downtime or side-effects following a Profhilo® treatment?
You may see some ‘sting’ marks on your skin following the Profhilo® treatment, and these will fade in around 4 to 6 hours. There may be some localised tenderness and slight bruising, but this will fade very quickly. There is no need to take time off work or stop your everyday activities following a Profhilo® treatment. Just stick to any aftercare instructions that your practitioner advises, such as avoiding hot baths, steam rooms or saunas or excessive exercise for 48 hours after your treatment.
Are there any contraindications with a Profhilo® treatment?
Any history of severe allergy, pregnancy, breastfeeding are all contraindications that prevent this treatment from going ahead.
Does Profhilo® hurt?
As this is an injectable treatment, there is a slight amount of discomfort. However, a topical anaesthetic can be administered beforehand for your comfort.
How much does Profhilo® cost?
£250 per initial session (two required) with maintenance sessions at £200 per treatment.
