Morpheus8 Doncaster

As we get older, our skin starts to tell tales about our age. Lines, wrinkles, skin sagging and jowls can all start to remind us that we aren’t as young as we used to be and looking in the mirror can start to be more of a challenge.

At KL Cosmetic Clinics in Doncaster, we understand that skin ageing can be an unwelcome part of getting older and are equipped with clinically proven treatments and methods to combat it.

Why should I have a course of treatment with Morpheus8?

Radiofrequency (RF) skin tightening is one treatment that can offer quick, significant results with no downtime or side effects. This, combined with medical microneedling technology, has resulted in an innovative, multi-targeting treatment called Morpheus 8 and we now offer this unique, groundbreaking treatment here at our Doncaster cosmetic clinic.

Morpheus 8 offers multi-level improvements to the skin. It improves the look, texture and tone of the skin and helps to reduce jowls and loose skin around the lower face and neck area.

What happens during the treatment?

The hand-held Morpheus8 device is placed over the areas of your skin that require treatment by your skin professional. You may feel some slight tingling and heating of the skin, which will subside. The treatment takes around 30 minutes, depending on the area/s to be treated, and you will be able to return to your daily routine immediately after your clinic visit.

Am I suitable for Morpheus8 treatment?

Morpheus8 can be beneficial for countless skin concerns and has helped thousands of people regain smoother, tighter and more resilient skin. However, before any procedure can occur here at KL Cosmetic Clinics, we will ask that you attend a no-obligation consultation, which is free of charge, to examine your skin, check your medical history, and make sure the treatment will best suit your individual requirements for results.

As with any non-surgical cosmetic treatments, there can be contraindications or restrictions that can prevent or restrict a treatment. We make necessary, multiple checks to not only ensure that Morpheus 8 will be safe for you to undergo, but that it will act effectively on your unique skin concerns and offer you the results you’re looking for.

Our nurses say…
“This is a wonderful addition to KL Cosmetic Clinics and is gaining popularity with our younger patients, who like minimal downtime and subtle results.”

Is it for me?

What is Morpheus 8?

Morpheus 8 is an in-clinic device that combines RF technology with fractional micro pins (microneedling).

These tiny pins inflict minuscule injuries into the skin, which stimulates a natural healing response. This healing response helps produce new collagen and elastin, which in-turns tightens and smooths the skin, resulting in reduced lines, wrinkles and skin laxity.

As Morpheus 8 delivers fractional RF energy deep into the dermis, it further enhances skin tightening and reduces scar tissue.

Frequently asked questions

Does Morpheus8 hurt?

As a topical anaesthetic is used before treatment, Morpheus 8 is not painful. You may experience some sensation such as a pricking feeling or warming of the skin, though we will manage any discomfort with the numbing cream provided.

After your treatment, the warm sensation may continue, but this will subside in a few hours.

How do I prepare for a Morpheus8 treatment?

Best results are when the skin is well prepared, some weeks prior to your Morpheus8 treatment. One of the KL team will give skin health advice before your appointment, with recommendations on which skincare and treatments to use before and after your treatment to enhance the results.

Is there any downtime with Morpheus8?

Downtime is minimal with a Morpheus8 procedure, and you don’t need to take time off work to recover. However, you may experience red, shiny skin after the treatment for around five days afterwards, but this can be concealed with a recommended mineral makeup after the first day of your treatment.

You may also notice that your skin peels lightly after the procedure, and this is quite normal and a good sign that the skin is regenerating itself and speeding cell turnover. For the first few days after your Morpheus8 treatment, you will need to avoid direct sunlight and wear a high factor SPF, as well as good quality, cosmeceutical moisturiser (we recommend ZO clinical skincare here at KL Cosmetic Clinics).

When will I see the results?

You will notice results after your first Morpheus8 treatment, and in the months that follow, these will improve. However, we may recommend a course of Morpheus8 treatments to optimise your results and give them longevity. You can see optimal results six months after an initial period of treatment.

What are the contraindications for Morpheus8?

• Pregnancy/ breastfeeding
• Pacemaker.

How long do the results last?

Results can last anything from 12 to 18 months. However, we recommend annual follow-up sessions to maintain the healthy appearance of your skin.

Is a course of treatment needed?

Depending on your skin concerns, an initial course of 3 treatments at 4 to 6 weekly intervals will most likely be advised, though this will be decided at your pre-treatment consultation.
