At KL Cosmetics Clinics, we are experts in the field of clinical skin-needling.

We offer two types of skin-needling treatment, using either Dermaroller™ or eDermastamp™.

Collagen Induction Therapy

Clinical skin-needling (also called Collagen Induction Therapy or CIT), is a non-invasive procedure for treating scarred, damaged and ageing skin.

The treatment helps to stimulate the growth of collagen, which in turn strengthens the skin and restores skin tissue.

Each device has micro-needles that slightly penetrate the dermis, creating what are, in effect, tiny puncture wounds.

These wounds stimulate the natural processes of healing and regeneration in the skin.

This leads to a reduction in the appearance of scarring and other damage.

Collagen and elastin give your skin its structure and strength, so their regrowth is essential for creating firmer, younger-looking skin.

The result is a visibly smoother, brighter and more youthful complexion.

GD® Skin Regenerate with Dermaroller™

The gold-award-winning GD Regenerate uses genuine Dermaroller™ medical devices.

GD Regenerate provides advanced medical skin-needling and can significantly improve the appearance of:

  • photo-damaged and ageing skin
  • facial and décolleté lines and wrinkles
  • impaired texture and tone
  • acne scars.

More about Dermaroller

Dermaroller skin-needling
Dermaroller skin-needling is a non-surgical treatment for repairing scarred, damaged or ageing skin.

The micro-needles in the Dermaroller device penetrate the dermis, which stimulates the natural processes of healing and regeneration in the skin.

The growth of new skin cells and collagen help to reduce the appearance of scarring and other damage.

As collagen and elastin give your skin its strength, their regrowth is essential for creating firm and younger-looking skin.

The result is a smoother, brighter and more youthful complexion.

Dermaroller™ treatment at KL Advanced Medical Cosmetics, Doncaster
You may be looking for a solution to specific skin conditions such as scarring, including acne scarring, or stretch marks.

Or you may simply want a non-surgical treatment that provides effective skin anti-ageing and rejuvenation.

Dermaroller skin-needling may be the answer. It is ideal for a range of skin concerns on the face and décolletage.

The idea of penetrating your skin with needles may seem a little scary and daunting, but it’s not as bad as you might think. It’s actually a proven way to encourage cell growth and improve the appearance of ageing, blemished or photo-damaged skin.

EDS Regenerate with eDermastamp™

eDermastamp™ is an award-winning skin-needling system and a popular treatment for:

  • photo-damaged and ageing skin
  • facial and decollete lines and wrinkles
  • impaired texture and tone
  • acne scarring.

eDermastamp™ is created by the same German medical engineering and advanced skin-needling technology behind Dermaroller.

eDermastamp™ provides dermal and epidermal skin rejuvenation procedures that are more controllable, more focused and therefore safer and more comfortable for you as a patient.

Home-use skincare programme
EDS Regenerate also offers a home-use skincare programme. This includes clinically-proven products that enhance skin recovery and overall results from your skin-needling treatment.

More about eDermastamp™

EDS Regenerate® clinical skin needling with eDermastamp™

EDS eDermastamp™ is an innovation in clinical skin needling, and a popular treatment for skin rejuvenation.

It uses the same advanced skin-needling technology behind Dermaroller to treat:

  • photo-damaged and ageing skin
  • facial and décolleté lines and wrinkles
  • impaired texture and tone
  • acne scarring

Voted Product Innovation of the Year at the Aesthetic Awards in 2014, eDermastamp™ technology is more controllable, more focused and therefore safer and more comfortable for you as a patient.

An effective solution for ageing and blemished skin, skin needling can help you look and feel younger.

eDermastamp™ skin-needling at KL Advanced Medical Cosmetics, Doncaster

As with other skin-needling procedures, eDermastamp helps to stimulate the growth of collagen in the skin.

It is therefore particularly effective in treating a variety of common skin conditions.

These include:

  • Sun-damaged skin and uneven skin pigmentation, from excessive exposure to the sun’s harmful UV rays.
  • Wrinkles, one of the inevitable sign of ageing skin, due to the loss of collagen that gives youthful-looking skin its structure and firmness.
  • Décolleté lines – it is common to experience lines and sagging in the décolleté area because of its thin and delicate skin tissue. Fortunately, skin needling helps to restore younger-looking skin in this area too.
  • Uneven texture – rejuvenating areas of damaged skin leads to an overall improvement in texture and tone.
  • Acne and scarring – skin-needling helps to heal and repair skin tissue damaged by acne, by creating new collagen. Which also helps to restore your confidence in your appearance.

EDS eDermastamp™

Is it for me?

eDermastamp™ skin-needling is a non-surgical treatment that can help to repair and rejuvenate scarred, damaged or ageing skin.

It uses very fine ‘micro-needles’ to stimulate the growth of collagen and elastin, which helps to improve the strength of the skin and heal a range of blemishes, including acne scars and stretchmarks.

The treatment leaves your skin looking more youthful, due to the regeneration of collagen and elastin.

Frequently asked questions

How does eDermastamp treatment work?

The eDermastamp has an electrically-powered, hand-held device with very small ‘micro-needles’.

As the device is moved across the skin, each needle slightly penetrates the dermis of the skin to create a tiny puncture wound.

This series of tiny wounds is enough to stimulate the body’s natural healing process.

As it repairs the treated area of skin, it produces new collage and elastin – key elements in healthy, younger-looking skin.

Is eDermastamp treatment safe?

For safety and hygiene, the eDermastamp has ultra-fine, sterile single-use needles.

To avoid the risk of infection, we dispose of the needles after each treatment.

Like all skin-needling procedures, eDermastamp treatment should only be carried out by trained and qualified professionals – like Kirsty at KL Advanced Medical Cosmetics – and in a clinical environment.

How long does the treatment take?

Most eDermastamp treatments take up to 60 minutes.

Before starting the procedure, we apply a topical numbing cream to the treatment area, which needs a few minutes to take effect.

Will it hurt?

With the topical anaesthesia, there should not be any pain.

Most patients report only minimal discomfort from the treatment.

Are there any side effects?

You may find that your skin will appear a little red, as it fully heals in the days following each procedure.

However, the downtime associated with eDermastamp treatment is minimal.

Aftercare

For a day or two after treatment, we recommend that you avoid hot baths, saunas, and exercise.

It is also important you do not sunbathe for at least two weeks after treatment.

We will give you further advice about SPF and skincare during your consultation for the treatment, and again after each treatment session.

How soon will I see results?

You should be able to see the results of the skin-needling within 6 weeks of your treatment.

How many treatments will I need?

We recommend a course of 3 treatments, with a break of 6 six weeks between each session.

This allows for the processes of new cell reproduction, collagen and elastin stimulation and general skin healing to take place.
