Hay fever Treatment
– Kenalog Injection

Hay fever treatment in Doncaster: If, like thousands of people in the UK you suffer with hay fever during the warmer times of the year, you’ll know that the symptoms can range from annoying sneezing or watery eyes to more severe, debilitating fatigue and lethargy.

Hay fever can make life miserable, our work, leisure and social lives can suffer and Spring and Summer just bring dread. Although for some people, over-the-counter medicines and remedies can be a relief, they can make us drowsy and for some people, they simply don’t work. Here at The KL Cosmetic Clinics in Doncaster, we offer a revolutionary, simple, injectable solution to hay fever. It eases a variety of hay fever symptoms fast and negates the daily requirement to use tablets, drops or nasal sprays. This treatment is called Kenalog 40.

What is hay fever?

Hay fever is an inflammation of nasal passages, caused when the body’s immune system overreacts to specific allergens. These can include pollen, dust, pet hair or fur and even mould spores.

When this allergic reaction takes place, symptoms can include a runny or blocked up nose, watery, itchy eyes and constant sneezing. Hay fever can affect our daily lives including our ability to work or concentrate during the day as well as the ability to get a good night’s sleep. It can be miserable.

It is common for someone who is a regular hay fever sufferer to display symptoms of other conditions, such as asthma, allergic conjunctivitis and atopic dermatitis.

What is the Kenalog 40 hay fever injection?

Kenalog 40 (Triamcinolone) is an inter-muscular injection (administered into the buttock) which can treat many types of inflammatory conditions, including allergic reactions, such as hay fever. It temporally suppresses the immune system enough to take away those annoying symptoms of hay fever.

Kenalog can also be used for other conditions such as skin disorders, severe colitis, blood cell disorders, inflammation of the blood or tendons and lung. Certain over-the-counter treatments for hay fever include nasal steroid sprays, antihistamine pills or tablets and receptor antagonists.

For some people with more severe hay fever symptoms, these, generic medicines can prove to be ineffective and can offer unpleasant side-effects. Kenalog 40 is a clinically-proven steroid injection that will not offer the same side-effects as over-the-counter hay fever remedies and what’s more, it only needs to be administered every 30 to 40 days. This makes it a very convenient remedy for those patients who are on the go and are not getting the results they need from shop-bought sprays or pills.

Kenalog 40 injections can only be administered by a fully-qualified medical professional, such as our nurse team here at KL Cosmetic Clinics.
